“Make Your Mouth Happy”– Welcome to the Fun, Food & Folklore of the New Orleans School of Cooking! We are located in the heart of the French Quarter, between Decatur Street and Charters Street, Just three blocks from Jackson Square. Walking distance to all French Quarter Hotels and most downtown properties.

Our entertaining classes and the Louisiana General Store are located in a renovated molasses warehouse built in the early 1800’s. The site was originally occupied by one of the earliest known residences in the city.

The Courtyard and the adjacent building have now been tastefully converted to an intimate French Quarter hideaway, complete with fountain. It’s the perfect location for your Rehearsal Dinners or private functions for twenty-five to fifty guests, allowing them to experience the Vieux Carre’ of long ago with the cuisine and service for which New Orleans School of Cooking has since become famous.

We teach the basics of Louisiana cooking in a way you’ll never forget. Fun is the primary ingredient in our kitchen! Our Creole/Cajun experts teach New Orleans specialties and season them with history, tall tales and trivia.

The New Orleans School of Cooking Rehearsal Packages Includes:

• Three hour event
• Cocktail Reception
• Cooking Class Demonstration with dinner to follow, dinner served with bread & butter, iced tea, water and a coffee Station.
• Take Home Recipes for each guest
• A send off Gift Bag for the Bride and Groom

 

Packages start out at $44 per person inclusiive. A Minimum of 25 people required. Maximum of 50 people.

Parking is not provided by The New Orleans School of Cooking but convenient parking lots are located adjacent to the Jackson Brewery.
