Anne Leonhard is one of the featured Chefs from The New Orleans School of Cooking. As a native New Orleanian, Anne's culinary career began in her grandmother's kitchen. With her wedding day quickly approaching, she realized that she would not be able to prepare a good meal, much less any meal, for her new husband. She asked her grandmother to teach her all she could. And that she did, in one day. She is now a seasoned veteran in the kitchen.
Anne later attended Soutwest Missouri State College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Her work career started as a teacher and after 20 years of Kindergartners, she decided to retire. She then became a licensed tour guide and met fellow, chef/tour guide, Michael DeVidts, at the National Federation of Tour Guides Convention. She says that it was bread pudding and sazeracs that brought them together. She first joined the staff at the New Orleans School of Cooking on a part-time basis but now enjoys a full time position at the school.
